he Was Her Man, but he Done Her Wrong

ok, so here's what my work schedule for this week looks like:
Sat 12th: 12-8
Sun: 10-6
Mon: 12-8
Tue: 3-8
Wed: 12-8
Thurs: off
Fri: off
Sat 19th: 12-8

'strewth, they certainly want me to work evenings! thank christ i said 5-day weeks--with diana off, they won't have anyone except bree and me to close. tomorrow i learn how to work the cash register (which i already pretty much know how to do), and i'll be working 8 hours, so i can take a break. or i could just work right through it, which everyone else in the kitchen does anyway. it's so creepy being back; it's like i've never left. the people come and go, especially in the kitchen, and the new executive chef is supposedly instituting Radical Changes, but the food is still there, those damn scales are still there, and the customers are still there.

today in Customers Say The Darndest Things:
little old lady with large sunglasses: (apropos of nothing) are you a mother?
me: ....
lolwls: i didn't think so, you're young. but you will be some day.
me: .... *smiling dazedly, with barely-veiled look of terror in eyes*
lolwls: well, i suppose it's your choice anyway.
me: yes, yes it is.
lolwls: well, you're young, enjoy your freedom!
me: thank you, i will...
lolwls: *heads in direction of seafood counter, waving goodbye*
me: *waves goodbye, mouth hanging open slightly*

in other news, you can't imagine how excited i was to see that bi (also known as rain) was voted the most influential person by time magazine readers in their own 100 most influential people. i knew he was hot, but influential as well? huh.
seeing as how stephen colbert was voted the second most influential, you just know he can't take that lying down:

i'd like to know if that's actual understandable korean.

and here's my favorite song by rain (who is most definitely korea's answer to usher), so you can judge for yourself who the better korean r&b artist is:

...the reason this song is so great is of course the background chorus: "rain, go rain, it's raining, it's raining!" makes me grin every time.

and i just want to express shock, outrage, disgust, and general pissed-offedness at this piece of shit. i know slutty comic-book figurines with big tits and skimpy clothes are the norm, but still. it's like peter parker said, "hey m.j., act like a housewife! do my laundry!" and slapped her on the ass. the terrifying thing is that, from the looks of it, he may not have even had to ask. seriously, people, we're going forwards and not backwards.
really.
