don't you think it's interesting that the first person he thought to call was mohinder? *is shipping mohinder/sylar so hard* and mohinder was stupid and dialed 911 instead of trying to help him out. it makes for a certain kind of twisted logic--sylar would never blow up half of new york, because there's no payoff for him. not in the same way that slicing off peoples' skulls and taking their powers has, anyway. doing something like going nuclear in downtown nyc scares the piss out of him.
see, that's the problem with the whole idea of the hero archetype, in the comic-book sense. noone is wholly good or wholly evil. that's what they've been showing us all season, but with this intimate look at gabriel/sylar, it's highlighted, underlined, and circled twice. in red ink.
poor stupid sylar and his dead mom. he's never gonna get over that. now he has no reason to be gabriel anymore, and any misgivings he may have felt about stopping what he was doing are gone now. he's going to keep right on being special. his mother told him that he could be president, and that's exactly what he's going to do.
and mohinder's found his sister again, or at least someone he can pretend is his sister, and save her, like he never could with his real sister. i wonder if mohinder's realized how much of an asset molly is to the people holding her, once her powers come back. to be able to find anyone, anywhere...who's to say they'll use that to try to stop sylar? why, combined with mohinder's knowledge, they can keep tabs on every mutant in existence, and do whatever they want with them. mohinder needs to take some time and Think Things Through.
peter petrelli and the cheerleader have a pretty interesting relationship going on, for being uncle and niece. hmm. nathan needs to oppose linderman again, no matter the consequences. i want to see what they're going to use micah for.
and now eccles needs to pop out of the snow like a daisy and do the mentor thing again. come on, help peter out! you can do it!
and talk northern, because that's just cool.
